Enhancing Analytical Capabilities: ProChem Adds DSC and TGA

As our commitment to quality and precision grows, we are excited to announce the latest addition to our Analytical Laboratory: state-of-the-art Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) instruments from TA Instruments.

“These instruments are essential for optimization of the chemical reactions carried out at ProChem and will improve our capabilities to provide our customers with high quality products.” says Dr. Leonel Griego, Director of Manufacturing and Head of R&D Projects.

The Power of DSC and TGA

Fingerprint Detailing: DSC allows us to measure heat flow of a sample over time as temperature is changed, making it an invaluable tool for assessing purity. The instrument will allow us to observe precise phase changes such as the melting point of a sample to determine purity thus creating a unique fingerprint of each product.

TGA complements DSC by revealing weight changes as a function of temperature. This technique helps us identify impurities and decomposition points. With this level of detail, we can fine-tune our formulations, troubleshoot issues, and enhance product consistency.

Loss on Drying (LOD) Determination:  TGA will also provide us with the ability to determine precise LOD in our materials, leading to optimization of production processes to meet stringent quality standards. Whether it’s a metal organic precursor or an inorganic compound, precise LOD data is essential for consistent performance.

Internal and External Qualifications: Our customers rely on us for high quality materials. With DSC and TGA, we can confidently confirm the suitability of our products for specific applications. Whether it’s for a catalyst, a semiconductor, or a specialty coating, our analytical data ensures that our inorganics meet internal specifications and external industry standards. Trust is built on transparency, and these instruments reinforce our commitment to excellence.

Unlocking New Insights for Inorganic Chemicals

The acquisition of DSC and TGA instruments marks a significant milestone for our Analytical Laboratory. As we embrace these technologies, we invite our customers, partners, and stakeholders to witness the precision, accuracy, and reliability they bring. Together, we’ll continue to push the boundaries of inorganic chemistry, driving progress and shaping a brighter future.

Stay tuned for more updates as we explore the fascinating world of DSC and TGA!
