Last week, ProChem Inc. opened our doors to the Rock River Illinois Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) for a facility tour and product discussion, as part of an event celebrating ACS’s 150th anniversary.  As an active member of our local ACS chapter, we value opportunities to connect with fellow chemists, educators, and students who are shaping the future of our field.

The visit was coordinated by Dr. Matthew Bork, who brought together an engaged group of ACS members along with students from Rockford University, hosted by Dr. Deborah Breiter, and students from Highland Community College, hosted by Dr. Brendan Dutmer.

Guests began their visit with an introduction to ProChem Inc., followed by conversations with members of our technical, quality, and operations teams.  Students and ACS members had the opportunity to learn more about the specialty materials we manufacture and how these products support research, advanced manufacturing, and materials innovation across multiple industries.

The tour concluded with a with a walkthrough of our production and laboratory areas, where visitors could see firsthand how ProChem Inc.’s processes, capabilities, and quality systems come together to support our customers.

We appreciate the curiosity, thoughtful questions and enthusiasm brought by everyone who attended.  Supporting our regional scientific community – especially during this milestone year for ACS – is something we are proud to be part of.

If your organization or academic group is interested in arranging a visit, we welcome the opportunity to connect!
