ProChem’s 2nd Annual Pickleball Event: A High-Energy Reaction!
Last week, team members at Prochem Inc. traded lab coats for court shoes as we served up some serious fun at our 2nd Annual Pickleball Showdown.
While our daily work centers around inorganic reactions, the real chemistry happened on the courts – no catalysts required! From precision serves that rival our titration curves to volleys more charged than a sodium cation, the entire event was a smashing success.
It was a team-building experiment in full swing – demonstrating high levels of coordination, rapid phase transitions from focus to laughter, and plenty of ionic bonding (aka high-fives and good vibes).
Our R&D department may specialize in complex ligand coordination, but on the pickleball court, it was all about team coordination. Even those of us more comfortable with beakers than backhands showed strong reaction times and surface interactions.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s rematch – same time, same state (solid or otherwise), and hopefully, fewer “unplanned reactions” (aka rogue pickleballs).
Until then, it’s back to the lab – charged up and better bonded than ever!
