Rockford Fire Department Visits New and Updated ProChem Inc. Facilities
ProChem was honored to welcome the Rockford Fire Department Engine 7 and HazMat Team last week for tours of our expanded and upgraded facilities. As ProChem Inc. marks 40 years at this location in Rockford Illlinois, strengthening coordination with local emergency responders remains an essential part of our commitment to safety, preparedness, and responsible growth.
During the visit, members of the HazMat team walked through our site, asked questions about our processes, and familiarized themselves with the layout of our new and updated production and storage spaces. Their expertise and proactive engagement help ensure that responders have the information and familiarity they need to act quickly and effectively.
Captain Brian Park coordinated the visits – organizing three separate groups of team members over the course of three days so every responder had the opportunity to walk the facility. He also offered valuable insight into how the department approaches chemical-related emergencies and how strong partnerships with local businesses enhance community readiness. We are grateful for his leadership and for the dedication of the entire Rockford Fire Department.
ProChem’s Environmental Health & Safety Manager, Eileen King, emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with first responders:
