Semiconductor Industry Insights for Advanced Materials

ProChem’s leadership team attended the 2026 Critical Materials Council (CMC) Conference in Portland, Oregon, where industry experts gathered to address the most pressing challenges in the semiconductor materials, supply-chain resiliency, and emerging technology requirements. With a program centered on “Critical Materials at the Crossroads – Driving the Roadmap for Semiconductor Materials,” the event provided actionable insight into the materials and processes that will shape next-generation device manufacturing.

Reno Novak and Dr. Leonel Griego from ProChem Inc.Our CEO, Reno Novak, and R&D Director, Dr. Leonel Griego, participated in discussions focused on how specialty chemical suppliers can better support fabs through high-purity materials, technical depth, and responsive collaboration.

Throughout the conference, attendees emphasized several recurring themes that directly impact ProChem’s customers and partners across semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and R&D environments.  These topics reflect the evolving expectations placed on materials suppliers and the increasing need for reliability, innovation, and transparency in the global supply chain.  Key themes included:

  •  Global issues and supply-chain trends – strengthening resiliency and ensuring stable access to critical materials.
  • Immediate Manufacturing and materials challenges – addressing purity, performance, and process-integration needs for advanced nodes.
  • Heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging materials – supporting new architectures that demand novel precursors and ultra-high-purity inputs.
  • Emerging materials in R&D and pilot fabrication –  preparing for the next wave of semiconductor innovation through scalable, high-purity chemical solutions.
