Shining a Light on Clean Energy: ProChem Adds Solar Power

Last week, we completed the installation of a 6.58 kW DC photovoltaic solar power system atop our newest building at our Rockford, Illinois facility. This state-of-the-art system is not only designed to fully supply the electricity needs of this building, but also supplement 10% of the energy requirements of an adjacent manufacturing building.

This initiative is a testament to our dedication to sustainable manufacturing practices within the chemical industry. By harnessing the power of the sun, we are reducing our carbon footprint, decreasing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources, and setting a precedent for environmentally responsible operations.
